We’re looking for a Solution Consultant to come on board and help us to demonstrate our services capabilities to customers using their technical and customer relationships skills.
We’re a small team with plans to grow, and we need someone with a genuine interest in technical excellence and an appetite for learning to help us achieve our goals.
What is the role?
As a Solution Consultant you will play a key role in the Pre-Sales Team, working as a bridge between Sales and the Delivery team. You will own the technical scope of the customer opportunity throughout the sales process, working with the sales account manager to ensure that opportunities are maximised and closed effectively. You would also engage partners and internal resources as necessary.
Who are we looking for?
To succeed as a Solution Consultant, you will need to understand and communicate the balance between technical best practice, and a customer’s needs, and be able to translate this value into a commercially attractive Statement Of Work. You will need to build deep expertise in certain areas and want to learn & support outside your core skillset, set and meet clear expectations and deliver based on required deadlines.
In terms of background, you will need proven experience in an IT services environment, with a background including pre-sales and hands-on technical architecture. You’ll need strong knowledge across a number of the following areas and willingness to extend your knowledge to deliver pre-sales support across our full product & services offering set:
- End User Compute technology areas, including Azure Virtual Desktop, Windows 365 and Microsoft Defender.
- Microsoft Modern Management technology areas, including Windows Enterprise Deployment and Management.
- Identity Management technology areas including PIM, Just in Time Access, Conditional Access, MFA and SSO.
- Cyber Security technology areas with a Microsoft focus including the E5 Technology suite, and ideally experience of working to Cyber Essentials accreditation standards.
- Managed Services including Intune for Desktop, Intune for Mobile, Azure Virtual Desktop and Azure
Also important would be demonstrable technical skills in scoping, design and delivery. You’ll need to be a motivated and self-driven leader with C-level relationship building and influencing. We expect you to have excellent written communication and the ability to understand and articulate business drivers and value.
