IG Group is an established member of the FTSE 250 with a market capitalisation of £2.9 billion (31 May 2016). IG Group operate worldwide under the IG brand, and in the US as the Nadex derivatives exchange.
The Challenge
IG Group were challenged with managing their growing user estate and were required to streamline operations whilst provisioning new users. IG Group were looking for a process to take a Service Request via their Service Desk, automate the account creation and setup of a users’ VDI workspace.
Solution
PowerON were engaged as the experts in Automation to support IG Group in leveraging Microsoft Automation Solutions; Microsoft System Centre Orchestrator. PowerON created a set of automation routines based on a request logged via the service portal. This automated the creation of the users’ accounts and provisioned the required VDI infrastructure in IG Groups VMWare estate.
