Business Development Manager

We’re looking for a Business Development Manager to come on board and bring their individual sales brilliance to growing and developing one of our corporate account patches.

Working within a well-supported sales team, with pre-sales and marketing to help you generate and develop opportunity, you’ll have a customer base incorporating a range of private sector enterprise organisations, not limited by industry. There are some active accounts, but this is a developing account patch, with a range of cold accounts and pure prospects for you to work towards bringing on board.

What is the role?

This Business Development Manager role will be selling professional and managed services into an account base with a core vertical focus, allowing you to demonstrate your corporate sector expertise. Your time will be balanced between account management and development, and the generation of new business through winning net new customers. We don’t believe in a one-size-fits-none approach to KPIs – we expect you to plan and execute an approach which works for your account base, analysing what works and what doesn’t, and taking purposeful action to drive your target outcome.

Who are we looking for?

You will need proven sales success in an IT services environment, demonstrating core sales skills, and the ability to understand and articulate the value that IT service investment can deliver to an organisation.

At least as important, though, is your mindset. You will be curious and eager to learn, proactively seeking an increase in your skills and knowledge across customers, sales capabilities and solutions know-how. And you will be driven to succeed – you’ll want to be exceptional, and you are willing to plan and drive for success until you get there.
