With Always On VPN, a connection is automatically established whenever an authorised device has an active internet connection. This means your team can access everything securely without having to login or input their details (unless multi-factor authentication is enabled).

What's involved?

With Always On VPN, the connection type does not have to be exclusively user or device but can be a combination of both. For example, you could enable device authentication for remote device management, and then enable user authentication for connectivity to internal company sites and services.

Organisations can deploy Always On VPN connections for domain-joined Windows 10 client computers as well as migrating from DirectAccess to Always On VPN and configure conditional access using Azure AD.
